In cooperation with General Directorate of Civil Defense in Ajman, the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) conducted a mock evacuation drill at its headquarters in Al Hamidiya district. The drill was part of the Ajman DED's efforts to enhance safety and occupational health and adopt a set of initiatives and preventive training to proactively deal with emergencies, crises, and disasters, as well as to coordinate and cooperate with the relevant security authorities.
The drill aimed at ensuring readiness and preparedness of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team, workers, and customers present at the site to deal with hazards in order to ensure the safety of people and properties and enhance the swift response and intervention while promoting awareness of security and safety procedures. The drill evaluation rate was 99%.
During the drill, employees and customers were directed to assembly points outside the building. The team was able to evacuate 93 employees and customers and complete the drill efficiently in a record time of 60 seconds. The evacuation was carried out safely and without any significant losses or injuries.
