The Ajman Department of Economic Development (Ajman DED) issued a report on the business activities of Emirati businesswomen in celebration of Emirati Women's Day, which falls on August 28 each year. The report indicated that Emirati female entrepreneurs reached 2,949by the first half of 2024, representing 35.5% of the total businesswomen in Ajman. This highlights their strong presence in the business sector in Ajman, with the leading activities being building maintenance, beauty and personal care services, and restaurant management.
The growth rate of new licenses issued for Emirati businesswomen reached 23% during the first half of this year compared to last year. The number of home-based business licenses under the "Reyada" program was 258, constituting 57% of the licenses issued under "Reyada" program. Additionally, the number of licenses for female entrepreneurs in the "Taziz" Program was 391, representing 29% of the total licenses issued under this program in Ajman.
