For a week, the Department of Economic Development in Ajman celebrated International Project Management (IPM) Day, which falls on the first Thursday of November every year. It aims to establish a culture of project management and implement smart, sustainable, and innovative practices to ensure the best results are achieved. The celebrations agenda included various activities and daily competitions for its employees, honoring project managers and leading project work teams.
On this occasion, H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General, said: “In today’s business world, project management plays a crucial role in the success and progress of institutions. Project management skills are one of the basic pillars of leading institutional change, achieving goals efficiently and effectively, and succeeding in transforming ideas into a tangible reality.”
He added: “Celebrating the IPM Day is a good opportunity to appreciate the efforts made by the project teams to accomplish innovative and sustainable projects in a way that serves the achievement of the strategic objectives of the Ajman DED and the emirate. These events confirm the Department’s continued commitment and keenness to adopt the best international practices that will develop skills and stimulate creativity in the project management field".
