Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) concluded the activities of the Entrepreneurship Week, which was held at the Ajman Creative Center in cooperation with the Ajman Youth Council and their initiative “Youth Lab” and with the participation of a number of government agencies, where the Entrepreneurship Week achieved remarkable success and satisfaction for customers, society and participating government agencies. The Entrepreneurship Week included a number of activities and an exhibition for project owners, with the participation of 15 projects from members registered in Taziz and Reyada programs and 18 projects within the Little Merchant in cooperation with Al-Hikmah School. Various workshops were conducted with a total of 11 workshops targeting all participants from the projects, employees of the Ajman government, and the public.
In addition to the “Youth Lab” initiative, which was implemented by the Ajman Youth Council of the Federal Youth Authority (FYA) and in cooperation with Ajman DED, a number of dialogue sessions were implemented that shed light on various success stories of youth and transferred their valuable experiences to all youth, completing the success of the event by increasing and expanding the scope of experiences transferred to all.
For his part, H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director-General of Ajman DED, stressed that the Department is keen to support owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in various fields and ways. It was announced that the first business incubator would be launched in cooperation with Ajman University to include 50 projects to support entrepreneurship. The Department enables the entrepreneur to manage his project by developing his entrepreneurship skills by giving him training courses and workshops that sharpen his skills and enable him to develop his business project
Al Hamrani added that the support for SME owners in all sectors will continue, and said: "Our goal is to develop Ajman's economy through our initiatives that support project owners, and we thank our partners who shared this support with us. This collaboration represents the integration between government agencies to the leadership and advancement of the emirate of Ajman.".
In this regard, Aisha Kajoor Al Nuaimi - Director of the SMEs Development Department said: Entrepreneurship Week achieved the desired goals through “launching the first business incubator in cooperation with Ajman University” and implementing a number of workshops that transferred various experiences to the participating entrepreneurs to support the continuity of their projects and create valuable economic opportunities that would raise Ajman’s economy to achieve quality of life.
The closing ceremony of the "Entrepreneurship Week" witnessed the honoring of the participating entrepreneurs and the work team who organize this week, and competitions for the public. The Ajman DED is distinguished by its qualified human cadres and an excellent work team. The Department is always keen to thank and support its employees who spare no efforts in enhancing customers’ confidence and entrepreneurs’ satisfaction.
