The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) has received the Quality Certificate in the Information Technology Services Management System (ISO 20000-1:2018) by Lloyd's Register, for its excellence in managing its technical services in addition to the quality of the provided technical solutions, which contribute to the development of the business environment according to the best global standards in this field.
In this regard, Mr. Yaqoub Al Rasheed, Director of Information Technology Department stressed: “The Department’s receiving the ISO 20000-1:2018 certificate represents our keenness to apply the highest standards and adopt pioneering practices in the field of IT services management and technical systems, which constitute a key factor in our institutional development journey to achieve excellence and global leadership, and to provide high quality services to achieve the happiness of all stakeholders, including customers, partners and employees alike.”
Al Rasheed indicated that the Ajman DED is constantly developing its electronic and digital services in line with the global standards and trends followed in this regard. In addition, it has devoted its efforts to the digitization and providing advanced services through digital platforms that enhance competitiveness in the business and investment sector. It has also enhanced the confidence of the business community and increased efficiency, quality, and effectiveness in the IT sector.
The ISO 20000-1:2018 is the first internationally recognized standard that focuses on the management of IT services, and it is one of the most prestigious and leading certifications in the world in the management of IT services.
