The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) launched the "AJMAN The Future" Initiative, during the youth seminar that it held yesterday in cooperation with the Federal Youth Authority and in the presence of decision-makers from the Department, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Municipality and Planning Department. The seminar addressed three main topics: Industry & Innovation, SMEs innovation, and attracting international companies to Ajman.
During the session, the youth reviewed some of the challenges they face and asked the decision-makers many questions. in addition, Mr. Ahmed Khair Al Balushi, Director of the Commercial Registration Administration, confirmed that the Ajman DED cares about all the opinions of community, including the youth, and directed the youth to start work and go through an entrepreneurship experience and set off to the entrepreneurship and the innovation in projects and industry. He said, "My brothers and sisters, the future youth, the beginning is always difficult, but you have to overcome fear and start the journey of leadership and innovation in your projects, go through the experiment and not give up. The most important is to plan well for your project before starting and benefit from the initiatives launched by the Ajman DED with a view to supporting SME owners, including "Taziz" program with exemption from local fees for 5 years, and the “Reyada Household License" program.
During the session, the "AJMAN The Future" film was shown, which presents the past, present, and future of the Emirate of Ajman, it also witnessed the launch of the "Ajman The Future" competition, which targets university students, to present effective innovative solutions to facilitate the customer journey and develop the services provide by the Ajman DED, and 3 winners will be selected by the Innovation and Future Foresight Committee, with prizes at a value of AED 10,000.
