In a step that reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting and empowering people of determination and enhancing their role in economic and social development, the Ajman Department of Economic Development (DED), in cooperation with the International Charity Organization and Ajman University, has launched the "Tejouri" community initiative. This initiative targets university students who are people of determination, aiming to support and enable them to establish home-based businesses under the "Reyada" program, thereby providing them with additional income sources and fostering their active participation in society.
The initiative is part of a framework of partnership and integration among the participating entities. It aims to provide a comprehensive support system that includes financial, supervisory, advisory, and training assistance, while creating a conducive environment for beneficiaries to launch their own ventures and transform their ideas into sustainable productive projects.
Under the initiative, participants will be approved through joint coordination between Ajman University and Ajman DED, represented by the SMEs Development Department. This department will manage direct communication with interested students to identify their specific needs and requirements before submitting them to the International Charity Organization to secure the necessary funding to start their projects.
Ajman DED will also provide a range of support services to participants, including assistance in issuing "Reyada" program licenses, offering specialized consultations, preparing feasibility studies, and providing marketing support. Additionally, the Department will implement specialized training programs to develop their skills and enable them to manage their projects efficiently and sustainably, alongside providing the essential financial backing to kick-start their businesses.
The "Tejouri" initiative seeks to solidify the concept of economic and social empowerment for people of determination and open new horizons for them to participate in various economic sectors. This aligns with the UAE's directives aimed at enhancing the quality of life and achieving sustainable development for all segments of society.
