Ajman DED launches the 2nd edition of the "Entrepreneurship Week"

H E Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director-General of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), inaugurated the 2nd edition of the "Entrepreneurship Week". The Ajman DED organizes, in cooperation with the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), and the Municipality and Planning Department, the "Entrepreneurship Week" in the Detention Park, Al Hamidiya district, which will start on February 24 until February 28, 2023, at 5:00 to 10:00 PM daily. With the participation of 25 exhibitors, the Exhibition aims to provide an integrated business platform for SME entrepreneurs in Ajman. It also sheds light on successful business experiences and innovative projects, by presenting various workshops throughout the week, which contribute to supporting investors and motivating entrepreneurs to innovate by establishing their own brands.

Al Hamrani said that the Ajman DED supports owners of commercial projects, entrepreneurs and the home sector. This support is a part of the Ajman DED's strategic plans, which are based on developing economic sectors and working to highlight and support them by all means, indicating that the organization of such exhibitions, that display and market products and services, contributes greatly to spreading the culture of entrepreneurship. This exhibition is one of the Department's initiatives that aim to support and encourage national projects among the various groups and bring them together to exchange experiences and achieve cooperation among them. The aim of holding these marketing exhibitions is to promote their products and services and help them to market them, encourage them for continuing and achieving sustainability for their projects, and introduce them to the public.

H.E. Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director-General of the ATDD, stated that the ATDD's participation in the "Entrepreneurship Week" in Ajman, in partnership with government and private agencies in the emirate, stems from its keenness to spread awareness of the SMEs importance for all segments of society, indicating that the ATDD permanently supports project owners to motivate them to enter the business market and expand their works.

Al Hashemi stressed that concerted efforts are needed from all parties in Ajman to stimulate innovation and ambitious ideas that support the emirate's economy. He pointed out that the "Entrepreneurship Week" contributes to enhancing the confidence of entrepreneurs in supporting their projects, reaching leadership, and achieving strategic goals in the sustainability of the economic growth of the emirate, in particular, and the UAE, in general.

Mohamed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Trade Development and International Relations Sector at the ACCI, added that the “Entrepreneurship Week” and its activities and participation of distinguished exhibitors, male and female entrepreneurs, reflect the extent of the development of entrepreneurship in the emirate as a result of the support of the wise leadership and the efforts of Ajman government agencies to provide innovative initiatives that encourage and stimulate the growth of entrepreneurship, in addition to providing proactive services and diversifying means of support through promotion, marketing, and training for business owners and entrepreneurial ideas.

Al Hamrani stressed that the organization of this exhibition is a part of the continuous efforts of Ajman DED in cooperation with strategic partners for the optimal use of exhibitions as one of the best promotion and marketing mechanisms that support entrepreneurs. The exhibition will provide many activities, events, and products, as well as being an excellent opportunity for shopping. 25 commercial project owners and entrepreneurs are participating in the exhibition to present and display their distinguished commercial products, including areas of family interest, such as clothing, fashion, perfumes, incense, handicrafts, handicrafts, and food.
