As a part of its keenness to empower young people and develop their skills, the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) organized a seminar entitled "Youth and the Green Economy", coinciding with International Youth Day, with the participation of government departments in Ajman, including the Municipality and Planning Department, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Free Zones Authority. The seminar was also attended by project owners who transfer their experience in transforming their projects into sustainable ones.
This pioneering seminar aims at encouraging and supporting ambitious youth in Ajman and enhancing their vital role in the economic development of the emirate. This initiative comes in response to the environmental and economic challenges the world is experiencing, and the green economy is one of the most important ways to promote a sustainable economy and preserve natural resources for future generations.
In this regard, Mr. Ahmed Khair Al Balushi, Acting Director General of the Ajman DED, on behalf of the government entities participating in the seminar, expressed his thanks to the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Free Zones Authority, whose participation reflects the government's commitment to providing the necessary support to empower young people and help them achieve success and excellence in the business community.
Al Balushi also stressed that the participation of the private sector is as important as the participation of the government sector, as their inspiring success stories are an inspiration for young people to start entrepreneurship and transform their projects into sustainable and environmentally friendly projects. Al Balushi added that this seminar is an important opportunity to stimulate entrepreneurship among young people and enable them to become effective elements in building a sustainable and promising future for the emirate of Ajman.
