Ajman DED organizes “Promising Leader” initiative to prepare the second tier of leadership and enhance institutional performance sustainability

The Department of Economic Development – Ajman (Ajman DED) has organized the “Promising Leader” initiative over a period of three months, as part of its strategic directions aimed at developing human capital and enhancing institutional performance. The initiative focuses on preparing and qualifying the second tier of leadership to ensure continuity of operations and achieve the department’s objectives efficiently and flexibly.


The initiative emphasizes filling vacant leadership positions and identifying future successors through a clear methodology based on assessing leadership needs, evaluating competencies, and then implementing a comprehensive qualification program to build the capabilities of promising leaders, enhancing their readiness to assume future leadership responsibilities.


“Promising Leader” includes a comprehensive package of training and development programs designed to enhance leadership and managerial skills. It also supports participants’ capabilities in planning, decision-making, and team management, directly contributing to improving output quality and raising the efficiency of various departments within Ajman DED.
The initiative contributes to achieving several positive institutional outcomes, most notably developing qualified leadership cadres capable of assuming future responsibilities, improving institutional performance by enhancing leadership competencies, and fostering innovation and change by enabling emerging leaders to adapt to developments and generate creative ideas. Additionally, it promotes institutional stability by preparing internal leaders, reducing reliance on external recruitment, and ensuring sustainable institutional success.


Ajman DED concluded by reaffirming its ongoing commitment to launching developmental initiatives that strengthen the governmental work ecosystem and support the development of leaders capable of shaping the future, in line with the emirate’s vision to enhance institutional performance and achieve the highest levels of efficiency and excellence.
