Coinciding with the National Reading Month, which is held every March in the UAE to celebrate reading and its importance, the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) announced its various activities in this year, as its participation agenda contains many activities for various groups of society, including telling short stories for children, donating used books, hosting a UAE writer, and organizing a trip for its employees to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library (MBRL).
H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Ajman DED, stated: "Devoting a full month to reading in the UAE is to continue the great procession of culture, increase the connection with reading, complete the series of cultural, intellectual and knowledge projects, and intensify the supportive programs that reflect the government's tendency to promote reading as a way of life in UEA society."
Al Hamrani explained that the Ajman DED's participation accompanies the UAE development pathway and enhances community participation. We seek, through our participation, to invest this month in interactive public activities that combine entertainment and knowledge.
