Ajman DED receives the US Consul General

The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), represented by H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director-General of Ajman DED, received H E Meghan Gregonis, U.S. Consul General, in the presence of the directors of the departments and leaders of Ajman DED, to discuss ways of economic cooperation and strengthening relations between the two countries.

H E Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani welcomed the Consul General and expressed his appreciation for this visit, which will bear economic fruits in support of Ajman and will strengthen the relationship between the two countries. During the visit, the Business Development Department at Ajman DED presented the volume of investments and exports between the two countries and the foreign investment law and its importance. Moreover, the Commercial Control and Protection Department presented its achievements in commercial fraud and its protections for U.S. brands and other international brands.

For her part, H E Meghan Gregonis expressed her thanks to the Ajman DED for all their support to protect U.S. and international brands. Meghan said, “We value deeply  the strong and enduring relationship between Ajman and the United States.  Ajman’s growth is impressive and we hope more American companies will see the opportunities here.  Ajman has been an admirable partner in the fight against intellectual property violations, demonstrating that Ajman is cultivating a supportive environment for foreign investment.  I thank HE Al Hamrani for such a warm welcome and productive visit.  We look forward to supporting U.S. companies and their growth within the emirate and throughout the UAE.”

At the conclusion of the visit, H E Al Hamrani honored H E H E Meghan Gregonis, and said, "This visit is the beginning of new strong relations between the two countries, and it will not be the last visit, but we will intensify joint meetings to increase economic growth between them."
