Ajman DED Showcases Its Zero Bureaucracy Experience and Customer Journey Development During Abu Dhabi Participation

The Ajman Department of Economic Development (Ajman DED) participated in the second meeting of the third phase of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, held under the patronage of 7X – Emirates Post Group at the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi on 17 September 2026, with the participation of several government entities. The meeting formed part of national efforts to simplify government procedures, enhance customer experience, and develop more efficient and seamless services.

During the meeting, Ajman DED showcased its experience in reducing bureaucracy and enhancing the customer journey within the business sector. The Department highlighted its efforts to redesign services and procedures from the customer’s perspective, eliminate unnecessary steps and requirements, reduce time and effort, improve service efficiency, and further enhance the ease of doing business in the Emirate of Ajman.

Ajman DED also highlighted its approach to leveraging advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital integration to develop economic services and transition towards smarter and more proactive services that respond to the needs of investors and business owners, providing them with a more flexible and connected experience.

H.E. Saif Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Economic Development, affirmed that participation in the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange leading government experiences and practices in reducing bureaucracy and strengthen joint efforts to achieve a qualitative transformation in the design and delivery of government services. 

H.E. said: “For us, zero bureaucracy is not simply about reducing the number of steps or shortening service completion times. It is about rethinking the entire customer journey, from identifying their needs to achieving the desired outcome in the simplest and fastest way possible. Every procedure we simplify and every requirement we reassess directly improves the experience of investors and business owners, giving them greater space to focus on growing their businesses.”

He added: “At Ajman DED, we continue to develop our services by leveraging data, artificial intelligence, and digital integration to support the delivery of more proactive and efficient services, enhance the ease of doing business, and strengthen the competitiveness and attractiveness of Ajman’s economic environment.”

The meeting also showcased a number of government experiences and practices in simplifying procedures and redesigning service journeys. Discussions addressed the opportunities offered by advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in developing government services, while promoting the exchange of expertise among participating entities in support of the objectives of the third phase of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.

Ajman DED’s participation reflects its commitment to continuously developing its economic services through an approach that places customers and their needs at the heart of the development process. This contributes to building a simpler, faster, and more integrated government experience, supporting business sector growth and reinforcing Ajman’s position as an attractive and sustainable economic destination.
