The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) announced that Emirati women continue to strengthen their presence in the economic sector. The number of commercial licenses owned by female Emirati entrepreneurs reached 2,713, representing 39% of the total licenses held by women in the emirate.
Ajman DED noted that the number of female Emirati entrepreneurs has risen to 1,770, accounting for 29% of all women in the business sector.
In a move to support and empower women, licenses issued under the "Taziz" program for women totaled 438, which is 30% of all "Taziz" licenses. Additionally, licenses granted to women through the "Reyada" program, aimed at national entrepreneurs, amounted to 184, constituting 36% of the total "Reyada" licenses.
On this occasion, H.E. Saif Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman DED, emphasized that these figures reflect the continuous successes of Emirati women, which are supported by the wise leadership. He noted that Emirati women have become key partners in driving sustainable economic development.
His Excellency added, "Emirati Women's Day is a source of pride, and we use it as an opportunity to acknowledge the vital role women play in enhancing the UAE's standing on all fronts. At the Ajman DED, we are dedicated to supporting female entrepreneurs through specialized programs and initiatives that align with Ajman Vision 2030 and the zero government bureaucracy initiatives. This will enhance the emirate's competitiveness and stimulate creativity and innovation."
