The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, organized the third and final session of the Ramadan Economic Majlis in its third edition for 2023, with the aim of introducing "UAE Circular Economy Policy 2021 - 2031" to the investors, companies, and entrepreneurs in Ajman. This policy was approved by the Cabinet and introduced by H.E. Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Commercial Affairs Regulatory Sector at the Ministry of Economy.

The session, organized by Ajman DED in cooperation with the Organizing Committee for the "Ramadan in Ajman" Activities and the Citizens Affairs Office under the slogan "Sustainable Economy", was inaugurated by H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director-General of Ajman DED, and H.E. Maryam Al Mamari, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee for the "Ramadan in Ajman" Activities. During the session, the strategic partners, media, and coordinators who had a clear impact on the success of the council were honored.

On this occasion, Al Hamrani stressed that the third and final session of the Ramadan Economic Majlis confirms the importance of concerted efforts in educating society and entrepreneurs about the future economy and the most important sectors that contribute to advancing the UAE's economic growth, the most important of which is the "Circular Economy Policy" adopted by the Cabinet. He said: "Our partnership with the Ministry of Economy is a strategic partnership that aims to support economic growth in Ajman in particular and in the UAE in general, and through our cooperation with partners, we achieve success and leadership.”

Al Hamrani praised the efforts of the Ministry of Economy in developing initiatives, projects, and policies that support the local authorities in the emirate and their customers. He also thanked all those in charge of the Economic Majlis, which aims to transfer economic knowledge to society, entrepreneurs, and investors. He also confirmed at the end of the session that our meetings and partnership with investors continue to reach to leadership together.

For his part, H.E. Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi said: “The Ministry is keen to strengthen its partnership with the government and private sectors and accelerate the pace of work in order to implement and apply 22 circular economy policies, which are based on 4 main sectors, which are manufacturing, food, infrastructure, and transportation, to support the country's efforts towards achieving sustainability.

He added: "The convening of the Ramadan Economic Majlis session, in cooperation with the Ajman DED, is a continuation of the efforts of the Ministry of Economy to raise awareness among the business community, investors, and entrepreneurs of the importance of the "UAE Circular Economy Policy 2021-2031", and its pivotal and important role in establishing the UAE's position as a global center for the circular economy over the next decade, as this policy represents a comprehensive framework for stimulating investment in clean energy and natural resources, and implementing production and consumption practices by taking advantage of effective economic tools."
