H H Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Representative of H.H. the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), in the presence of H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of Ajman DED, honored the participants in the inspection campaign carried out by joint teams on licensed petroleum facilities in the Emirate of Ajman.

The honoring included H.E. Raed Obaid Al Zaabi, Director General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Ajman, and Mr. Humaid Al Mualla, Director of the Environment Department in the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, in addition to a large group of participants in the campaign and affiliated with the Ajman DED, the Department of Municipality and Planning, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Ajman.

H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), stated that a joint inspection team had been formed that included a group of specialists from the Ajman DED, the Department of Municipality and Planning, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Ajman. This is with the aim of implementing an expanded inspection campaign on all economic establishments that engage in activities related to the trading of petroleum products, whether related to manufacturing, transportation or storage, and includes all petroleum derivatives, including, but not limited to, fuel and gas of all kinds

Al Hamrani stated that the campaign targeted all petroleum facilities in Ajman, as the main objective of the campaign was to evaluate the level of the facilities’ compliance with the requirements, whether for practicing the activity as approved by the Ajman DED or the environmental requirements approved by the Department of Municipality and Planning, in addition to the safety and prevention requirements approved by the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Ajman, and monitoring violations and practices that would expose the security and safety of the environment or Ajman’s community to any risks that lead to damage to the environment or that could cause fires.

The campaign resulted in increasing the facilities’ compliance with environmental, safety and prevention requirements, ensuring the reduction of fires and what would expose the community to various risks.
