Coinciding with World Law Day, which falls on September 13 annually, the Legal Affairs Office at the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), over two days, through field visits to customer happiness centers, implements an initiative summed up in providing various legal services, opening the door to legal consultations, and listening to customers’ suggestions, with a view to direct communication with entrepreneurs, and investors, in addition to educating and making them aware of the applicable laws and legislation related to doing business, contributing to raising the efficiency of the services provided to them, and enhancing the quality of life. The initiative includes distributing souvenirs and a card that includes the most important laws related to the Ajman DED’s work.
On this occasion, Fatima Humaid Al Muhairi, Acting Director of Legal Affairs Office, said: “On World Law Day, we celebrate the pivotal role of the law in establishing justice, order and equality, enhancing the well-being of societies, highlighting the importance of the law as an umbrella for protecting rights, deterring violations, and framing the practice of economic activities of all kinds. It regulates the obligations and transactions of individuals and entities."
Al Muhairi added: “We are committed to continuing to develop a more flexible and sustainable legislative system that keeps pace with the rapid changes taking place in the world, where it is compatible with ambitious visions and strategies, and contributes to consolidating the values of justice that are centered around the principle of justice, transparency and governance, and enhancing the position and competitiveness of the Emirate of Ajman.”
